Almost no one can answer that in the moment. So they hold, because holding worked the last three times — and by the time the trend has clearly broken, a year of gains is gone.
I didn't want to build something that tells you how to feel about a stock. I wanted something that tells you what the data says — the same way, every day, for every stock — so you can tell a real turnaround from a bounce before the next leg down.
